Unfortunately, most coaching programs fall into one of two categories: they just teach you basic skills or they teach a bunch of theory without practical strategies.

But you’re smart enough to know that it’s not enough to just teach someone what to do. You need someone to guide you step-by-step and coach you at each step along the path to your goals. And you also realize that having a coach just teach you theory without practical strategies is nothing more than an expensive form of babysitting.

The truth is that most coaches do care but are not familiar with the needs of players at the younger ages. They are coaching their kids and really have very little experience coaching that age player. They coach what they know, and most don’t have a strategy that really works and creates lasting results. Coaches of Youth Players need to coach the Player, NOT the Sport. They need to understand the age and developmental needs of their players, which are most times very different from the needs of older players. The game for 6 to 12 year olds is an entirely different game from that of 14 to 18 year olds. Teaching the 14 to 18 year old version to a 6 to 12 year old will not work, and will lead to many missed opportunities for players and their families.

But they also worked their butts off. Just because we’ve simplified things down into a proven strategy that works every time it’s applied, doesn’t mean that it will be "quick and easy".

Getting the results you want will take your full commitment.

Some people are happy just doing the bare minimum. Our families want more. They want to finally break through what's been holding them back and achieve the success they've always wanted for their player. And they’re willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. Parents are a critical component of our program and are 50 - 50 partners with their players to ensure their success.

You and your player must show up coachable. We know what works and need parents who believe in their player and in us.
For your player to get results, you and your player must be committed. Making hockey dreams happen is a process that is sometimes difficult. You both must be willing to stay the course.
And you must be resourceful. There is always a way for the truly committed.
